ICC World cup2011-NZ Beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets

Ahmedabad: Zimbabwe was restricted to just 162 by a dominant New Zealand bowling attack after electing to bat first in their World Cup Group A match on Friday.

Brendan Taylor top-scored with 44, but his teammates failed to cope with the bowling of Daniel Vettori, Tim Southee and Kyle Mills, who came in for Jamie How after a seven-wicket defeat by Australia.

Southee returned the best figures of 3-29, while Vettori and Mills took two wickets each.

Vettori dropped an easy catch in the field, but went on to take the wicket of Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura with his very first delivery and then dismiss Regis Chakabva in the same over as Zimbabwe started to crumble.

Both sides have one victory and a defeat from their previous two games.
